The controversy escalated after the alleged remarks during the program and the matter has now reached the administrative level.

on this whole matter Haryana State Women Commission Taking a strict stance, it has issued a notice to the singer. Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia has directed Masoom Sharma to appear before the Commission on April 18 at 11 am.

Women’s Commission sent notice asking for reply

While issuing the notice through e-mail, the Women’s Commission has described the matter as serious and has sought a personal reply. The Commission has made it clear in the notice that the Commission has the right to investigate, seek information and summon the concerned person in matters related to women’s rights. The Commission has also warned that in case of not appearing on the scheduled date and time, further action can be taken against the singer.

Police had sent notice earlier also

Earlier, Dehradun Police had also sent a notice to Masoom Sharma in this matter. It is being told that the police took this action after the complaint of four councilors.

What did Masoom Sharma say?

After the controversy escalated, Masoom Sharma apologized by releasing a video on social media. He said that for some time now a person was harassing him, due to which he was under mental stress and the effect of the same was visible in his behaviour. He also said that if his words have hurt anyone’s sentiments, he apologizes for it.
