While issuing the notice through e-mail, the Women’s Commission has described the matter as serious and has sought a personal reply. The Commission has made it clear in the notice that the Commission has the right to investigate, seek information and summon the concerned person in matters related to women’s rights. The Commission has also warned that in case of not appearing on the scheduled date and time, further action can be taken against the singer.

Police had sent notice earlier also

Earlier, Dehradun Police had also sent a notice to Masoom Sharma in this matter. It is being told that the police took this action after the complaint of four councilors.
