Has Pakistan really become a ‘henchman of China’? American report and the inside story of changing identity on the global stage

The biggest news of this time is coming out from the platform of global diplomacy. The international credibility of Pakistan, which once collected huge funds from America on the basis of terrorism and its strategic position, is now on the verge of being completely destroyed. Amidst the ongoing geopolitical tension between Washington and Beijing, even superpower America has now accepted that Islamabad is completely forced to dance to the Chinese tunes. Experts say that Pakistan, trapped in the huge debt trap of Beijing, has now become just a medium to serve China’s strategic interests instead of an independent country. Sovereignty and economic freedom buried in Dragon’s ‘debt trap’ The current economic plight of Pakistan is not hidden from anyone. To save the country from bankruptcy, the Shahbaz Sharif government is continuously extending its hands to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and friendly countries. But the darkest aspect of this story is the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). In the name of this project, Beijing has imposed a debt of billions of dollars on Islamabad, which it is no longer able to repay. In return, China is now controlling Pakistan’s Gwadar Port and its internal policy decisions, due to which its identity at the global level has become like China’s economic slave rather than a sovereign nation. Washington’s big claim and its direct impact on South Asia including India: According to the latest reports of the US State Department and think-tank, Pakistan now cannot get out of China’s influence even if it wants to. From the United Nations (UN) to all international forums, Pakistan now speaks the same language which Beijing teaches it. America believes that this situation is a major threat not only to India but to the stability of the entire South Asian region. New Delhi is constantly keeping a close eye on this situation, because China can now use Pakistan’s soil and its army in a more aggressive manner to surround India on both fronts (Two-Front Threat).
