But today we have brought some different types of halwa recipes for you. Today we are going to tell you the recipe of halwa made from spinach, bitter gourd, peas and radish.
1. Spinach Halwa
- Material:
2 cups fresh spinach leaves
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar (as per taste)
2-3 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped nuts (cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios) - Method:
First of all prepare the spinach. Wash its leaves thoroughly and then chop them finely.
Heat ghee in a pan and now add chopped spinach to it.
Cook the spinach on medium flame for 10-12 minutes, until it becomes soft.
Now add milk to it and let it cook. Cook it until the milk thickens.
After this add sugar and mix well.
Now add cardamom powder and mix well again.
Add chopped nuts and mix the halwa well.
Once the halwa becomes thick, serve it hot.
2. Bitter Gourd Halwa
- Material:
2-3 bitter gourd (grated)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar or jaggery
2-3 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2-3 tbsp dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds) - Method:
Wash the bitter gourds, peel them and remove the seeds.

To reduce the bitter taste of bitter gourd, apply salt and keep it for 15-20 minutes, then wash it with water.
Heat ghee in a pan and add grated bitter gourd to it.
Fry the bitter gourd well in ghee, then add milk and cook on low.
Keep stirring the milk until it thickens well.
When the mixture becomes thick, add sugar or jaggery to it.
Add cardamom powder and dry fruits.
Cook the halwa until it starts releasing ghee.
It can be served hot or eaten cold.
3. Pea Pudding
- Material:
1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2-3 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped nuts - Method:
Boil peas and grind them in a mixer.
Heat ghee in a pan, add pea paste to it and fry well on low flame for a few minutes.
Now add milk and let it cook for some time.
Add sugar and cook the mixture until it thickens.
Add cardamom powder and dry fruits and your halwa is ready.
4. Radish Halwa
- Material:
2 medium sized radish (grated)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2-3 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp chopped nuts - Method:
Grate the radish and squeeze it to remove excess water.
Heat ghee in a pan and add grated radish to it and fry well for a few minutes.
Now add milk to it and let the mixture cook.
After some time, add sugar and cook this mixture until it thickens.
Now add cardamom powder and dry fruits of your choice and halwa is ready.
