HBO Show Casts 2 Important Characters
Two more have joined the cast of The Last of Us Season 3.
The Last of Us premiered on HBO in January 2023. Based on the popular video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog, the series’ first season follows Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie as they travel across the United States in a post-apocalyptic world. The second season followed in 2025.
A third season is now in the works; however, co-showrunner Neil Druckmann, who also wrote and co-directed the games, has stepped away from the project, leaving Craig Mazin as the sole showrunner.
The previously announced cast of The Last of Us Season 3 includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Isabela Merced as Dina, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon, Clea DuVall as a seraphite, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Manny, Jason Ritter as Hanley, and Patrick Wilson as Jerry, among others.
Who has joined the cast of The Last of Us Season 3?
Now, per Deadlineit has been announced that Michelle Mao and Kyriana Kratter have joined the cast of The Last of Us Season 3.
“Seraphites Yara and especially Lev are a major part of Abby Anderson’s (Kaitlyn Dever) arc, which is believed to be the focus on The Last Of Us third and likely final season,” the article reads. “Lev is the deuteragonist of Abby’s storyline in Naughty Dog’s game, serving as her partner and moral compass. Like in the game, Lev (Kratter) is a 13-year-old transgender boy.”
Mao is known for playing Rosamund Li in Bridgerton, while they’re also starring in Kogonada’s next movie, Zi, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this past January. Kratter portrayed KB in the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew show that premiered on Disney+ in 2024.
An HBO Max premiere date for The Last of Us Season 3 has not yet been announced.
