New Delhi: A new discussion has erupted in political circles on the 92nd birth anniversary of Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram. Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has made a big demand from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Kanshi Ram be honored with Bharat Ratna posthumously.

Demand to give Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram

Rahul Gandhi has made this request by writing a letter to the Prime Minister. He said that Kanshi Ram ji brought a big change in Indian politics. He spread awareness among Bahujans, Dalits and the poor. Told the people that their vote is their power and everyone in the country is equal. Due to his efforts, many people, who were earlier away from politics, now consider it a means of justice and equality.

Rahul Gandhi wrote in the letter that the Constitution promises equality, respect and participation to everyone. Kanshi Ram ji tried throughout his life to make these promises come true for the weakest section of the society. This strengthened democracy and made politics more inclusive.

Demand raised in Lucknow program also

Rahul Gandhi said that Dalit intellectuals, leaders and workers have been demanding this for many years. Recently, this demand was also raised loudly in a program in Lucknow. The people present there called it public sentiment.

Rahul Gandhi said that giving Bharat Ratna to Kanshi Ram will give proper respect to his contribution. This will be a tribute to the hopes of crores of people who consider him a symbol of empowerment.

BSP supremo Mayawati’s tribute

On the birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram, BSP chief Mayawati paid tribute by offering flowers at his statue in Lucknow. This is an opportunity to remember his thoughts and carry forward the fight for equality in the society.

This demand of Rahul Gandhi again highlights the political awareness among Dalits and backward classes. It has been the desire of many people for a long time that Kanshi Ram ji’s contribution be recognized at the national level. It remains to be seen what decision the government takes on this.
