Naini, Prayagraj. Late Wednesday night, two bike-riding youths had a head-on collision at Dubrajpur Overbridge located in Chhivki of Naini Kotwali area. After the accident, there was chaos on the overbridge and a large crowd gathered at the spot. Passers-by immediately informed the police. On receiving the information, the police admitted both the injured to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital for treatment. Where a young man died during treatment. The deceased has been identified as Madhukar Mishra (24), son of Dwarika Prasad Mishra, resident of Tenduvan.
The identity of the second injured youth has not been established till the time of writing and his treatment is going on. The police have taken the body in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. According to the local people, accidents keep happening on the Dubrajpur overbridge every day. Drivers pass at high speed on the flyover and due to the turn, they are unable to see the vehicles coming from the front, which increases the incidents of collision. The residents of the area have many times demanded the construction of speed breakers on the flyover so that the drivers drive at a controlled speed, but till now no concrete steps have been taken in this direction.
