Real Madrid transfer news: Alphonso Davies’ agent provides update on Bayern Munich defender’s future

Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies’ agent insists that his client has not yet made a firm decision on his future amid the recent reports surrounding Real Madrid.

Alphonso Davies‘ agent has insisted that his client has not yet made a firm decision on his future.

The Canada international’s contract at Bayern Munich is due to expire at the end of June, and there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future, with a number of major clubs believed to be in the race for his signature.

Real Madrid have long been considered as the favourites, but Barcelona and Manchester United are believed to be firmly in the running for the left-back, who made the move to Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018.

Recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid have already come to an agreement with the 24-year-old, with the defender set to move to Bernabeu on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

However, Davies’ agent He didn't give Huoseh has insisted that his client’s options remain open.

“Done deal with Real Madrid? This is not true,” Huoseh told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. “Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club. New deal at FC Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect.”

Davies agent plays down suggestions of Real Madrid agreement

Davies has provided three assists in 15 appearances for Bayern this season, while he has a record of 11 goals and 34 assists in in 210 appearances for the Munich giants in all competitions.

Bayern sporting director Christopher Freund recently said that his club were ‘confident’ of signing Davies to a new contract despite the exit talk surrounding the Canadian.

“The confidence is there. It just makes me feel positive when I see him every day – how he comes from, how he plays, how much fun he has training and playing,” said Freund.

“This system, the way we play football at the moment, suits him extremely well. He feels extremely comfortable. He feels good in Munich and is playing at a really high level at the moment.”

Bayern are fighting to keep hold of Davies

Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany is believed to be desperate for the club to keep hold of Davies, and it would be a huge surprise if a player of his ilk became available on a free transfer.

Last month, the defender said that he ‘felt valued’ at Allianz Arena and seemingly distanced himself from claims that he could leave the Bundesliga team.

“As of now, my full focus is to stay healthy and to play the game with the club I’m with right now,” Davies told reporters. “I’m not focused on what’s going on in the future.

“I’m just focusing on staying healthy and helping my team win. My team make me feel valued. The whole Bayern community make me feel valued. I see that each and every day.”

Despite Huoseh’s update, it is understood that Real Madrid remain the firm favourites for Davies, should be leave Bayern, with Los Blancos identifying him as one of their leading targets for 2025.
