New Delhi. The country's well-known doctor Dr. Naresh Trehan told that a person must follow some lifestyle tips to have a healthy life and a long life. Additionally, he also suggested maintaining a balance between eating, exercising and being happy for good health. Dr. Trehan said that consuming alcohol occasionally is good for your health. But, if you want to keep your heart health healthy and stress free, then stay away from alcohol.

He also stressed on exercising daily and advised to measure your weight daily. Dr. Trehan told that for a healthy life, every person must remove these four white things from his diet. It contains Sugar, White Rice, Refined Flour and Potato. However, he said that no food item can be stopped completely but these four things should be consumed only in limited quantities. He told that it is okay to consume one spoon of sugar in a day, but consuming more than that can lead to weight gain and heart related diseases. Besides, consuming potatoes in excessive quantity or in the wrong way also increases weight.

Actually, the Glycemic Index of potato is very high which increases the blood sugar level rapidly, which can also lead to heart disease and other diseases. Apart from this, Dr. Trehan also advised to stay away from artificial sweeteners and said that all these things are absolutely bad for health. According to him, sugar should be completely stopped from the diet and even after stopping the consumption of sugar, the taste of tea, coffee and everything else remains the same as before.
