Health Tips: The risk of diabetes will reduce for free… adopt this scientific method

New Delhi . Diabetes is a long-term health condition that affects how your body converts food into energy. There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2. Most of these people complain of Type 2 diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, the body is not able to use insulin properly (insulin resistance) and blood sugar becomes higher than normal.

Understand diabetes like this

Your body breaks down most of the food you eat into sugar (glucose) and releases it into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar level increases, it signals your pancreas to release insulin. Insulin uses blood sugar as energy in your body’s cells.

If someone has diabetes, his body does not produce enough insulin or is not able to use it as well as it should. When there isn’t enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much sugar remains in your bloodstream, which over time can cause serious problems like heart disease, eye problems, and kidney disease.

Recently, a review has been published in the Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology journal in which it has been said that brisk walking can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

What came out in the review?

People whose walking speed was faster than 3 km per hour or 1.86 miles per hour had a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes. A review in the Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology journal found that increasing walking speed by 1 km per hour could reduce the incidence of diabetes by 9 percent. If the speed is more than 6 km per hour or 3.7 miles per hour, the risk of diabetes can be reduced by 39 percent.

‘Although it is advisable to walk fast for maximum benefits, it is also important that people walk at a pace they can maintain.’

11 years of research analyzed

Researchers at Imperial College London looked at 10 research conducted in the last 11 years and Neil Gibson, senior advisor at Diabetes UK, said, ‘Increasing activity such as brisk walking is more beneficial. ‘We are conducting further research to confirm how fast walking can help reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.’

Dr. Ahmed Zaidi, author of Semnan University of Medical Sciences in Iran, said, ‘Walking for a long time is beneficial, but people should also pay attention to walking fast, so that they can get more benefits.’
