  • Sweet Corn- 2
  • Gram flour – ½ cup
  • Salt- as required
  • Garlic- 5-6
  • Green Coriander – 1 tablespoon

  • Oil

How to make Crispy Corn Pakodas

  • Remove the peel from the corn, cut it into two pieces and separate the grains.
  • Add salt and red chilli to it.
  • Add some gram flour in it. While adding gram flour, the corn has to be mashed well with hands so that everything gets mixed well.
  • Sprinkle water lightly on it.
  • Add some more corn to it. Now mix it well again. If at this stage you feel that the batter is a little too wet, you can add some more gram flour.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies and green coriander.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and make small pakodas and fry them. Initially keep the flame on high for one minute and then cook on medium slow flame. This will make the pakodas crispy. These have to be kept in a strainer for some time so that excess oil can be removed.
  • Do not keep the batter, use it immediately. When kept, the corn keeps releasing water.
  • To make chutney, you have to dissolve a little gram flour in half a cup of water. Add some salt to it. Fry the well beaten gram flour by dipping it in oil with your fingers. When this gram flour powder is fried well, take it out in a strainer so that the oil gets removed properly. Fry five to six garlic cloves in this oil. Now add garlic, gram flour powder, namak, red chilli and garam masala and grind it.
  • Enjoy hot crispy corn pakodas with this dry garlic chutney with tea.
