Lauki Oats Cheela

Material:

  • Semolina – ½ cup
  • Ground oats – 1.5 cups
  • Fresh curd – 1 cup
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Bottle gourd – 1 cup (grated)
  • Finely chopped onion – 1 cup
  • Green chillies – 4, finely chopped
  • Green Coriander – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon

Method of preparation

First of all, add curd and water to semolina and oats, mix well and keep covered for 20 minutes. After this, prepare the batter by adding bottle gourd, onion, green chilli, green coriander, salt, cumin and asafoetida. Bake the cheelas on a non-stick pan using oil and serve with curd or green chutney.

Tomato Cheela

Material:

  • Hybrid Tomato – 4
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Medium sized onion – 1
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Kashmiri red chilli – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Oil – for baking

Method of preparation

Grind tomato, ginger and onion in a mixer. Mix semolina in it and keep it for 30 minutes. After this add red chilli, salt, asafoetida and cumin. Make thin cheela on non-stick pan and serve with pickle or chutney.

Stuffed Moong Cheela

Material:

  • Washed Moong Dal – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Oil or ghee – for baking
  • Filling Ingredients:
  • Grated cheese – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1, finely chopped
  • Green chilli – 2, finely chopped
  • Green Coriander – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp

Method of preparation

Soak moong dal for 5-6 hours. Drain the water, add ginger, green chilli, turmeric and salt and grind it. Prepare the stuffing by mixing onion, green chilli, green coriander, black pepper and chaat masala with paneer. Spread the moong batter on the pan, fill the paneer stuffing while baking, fold and serve with tomato sauce.

green chila

Material:

  • Spinach – 1 cup
  • Mint – 1 cup
  • Green Coriander – 1 cup
  • Green chilli – 3
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Semolina – 1.5 cups
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Celery – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Oil or ghee – for baking

Method of preparation

Grind spinach, mint, coriander, green chilli and ginger with 1 cup water. Mix semolina and curd and keep it for half an hour. Prepare the batter by adding salt, celery and black pepper. Make hot cheela and serve it with chutney or pickle.
