Heartbreaking accident in Murshidabad! High speed train collides with school van, 3 innocent students killed and many injured

Murshidabad: A painful train accident in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on Friday morning shocked the entire area. A high-speed local train collided with a school van near Govindopur railway gate. Three people died in this horrific accident, including two school children. Many other students have been seriously injured and are being treated at Murshidabad Medical College. After the accident, there was chaos in the area and police-administration teams immediately reached the spot.

How did the tragic accident happen?

According to the information, the accident happened at around 7 in the morning. The school van carrying children was crossing the railway gate when a high-speed train reached there and hit the van hard. The collision was so severe that the van was blown to pieces. According to initial information, due to the gate being open, the driver could not see the train in time and this major accident occurred.

Eastern Railway started investigation

According to Eastern Railway officials, the accident occurred at the level crossing near Karna Subarna railway station. Officials said that the pool car carrying school children was crossing the railway line when it was hit by the local train.

To find out the cause of the accident, Railways has formed a 10-member investigation team and sent it to the spot. The team will find out the circumstances under which the accident occurred and whether there was any negligence at any level.

Huge resentment among local people

There was a lot of anger among the local people after the incident. People allege that there was serious negligence in the security arrangements at the railway gate. He says that if the gate had been closed on time, this accident could have been avoided. Some local people claimed that eight children were traveling in the van, although this has not been officially confirmed yet by the administration.
