Heat Exercise Team Option On Pelle Larsson
The Heat have picked up their $2.3MM team option on Pelle Larsson for the 2026/27 season, the team announced (via Twitter).
After being selected in the second round of the 2024 draft, Larssen signed a three-year deal that was non-guaranteed for the upcoming season. It would have automatically guaranteed on opening night, but the Heat decided to make it official now.
The 25-year-old shooting guard was rumored to be involved in the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade talks with Milwaukee, but Miami was able to complete the deal without including him. Larsson is coming off a breakout year, starting 54 of the 70 games he played and averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 26.4 minutes per night. He also shot 49.6% from the field and 32.3% from three-point range.
Larsson will be eligible for a four-year extension this summer worth up to $93MM, and he’s set to become a restricted free agent next offseason if he doesn’t reach a new deal.
