Heavy firing in Delhi’s gym, blame on Lawrence Bishnoi gang
New Delhi: Unidentified assailants opened fire at a gym in Paschim Vihar in outer Delhi, causing panic in the area. Police gave this information on Tuesday. Police said that no one was injured in the incident. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting through a social media post. According to the post, the gym was targeted because calls made by the gang to the gym owner went unanswered. Police said they are verifying the authenticity of the post. He told that as soon as information about the firing in RK Gym was received, the police team reached the spot and surrounded the area. He told that the forensic team was also called to collect evidence.
A senior officer said, “One cartridge has been recovered from the spot. A case has been registered and several teams have been formed to identify and arrest the attackers.” Regarding the social media post, he said, ”We are aware of the social media post and we are investigating it. “It is too early to comment on any gang involvement at this time.”
He said that all possible aspects are being looked into. Police said CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to ascertain the sequence of events and the route by which the attackers fled.
