Now help will not go astray in emergency: Android Emergency Location Service activated in Uttar Pradesh
Android Emergency Location Service: In case of any emergency, getting timely help is the biggest challenge. Many times people call the emergency number, but due to not being able to tell the correct location, there is a delay in reaching the relief. In such situations, Android Emergency Location Service (Android Emergency Location Service) proves to be an extremely important and life-saving technology, which automatically sends the exact location of the caller to the emergency services.
Uttar Pradesh became the first state of India
According to Google’s official blog, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in India where Android Emergency Location Service has been fully activated. This system has been integrated with the emergency response infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh Police. This important project was completed with the technical support of Pert Telecom Solutions. Google has also made it clear that in the coming time this facility will be started in other Indian states also.
What is Android Emergency Location Service?
Android Emergency Location Service is a built-in feature present in Android smartphones. When a person calls or SMSs an emergency number like 112, this service automatically sends the caller’s exact location to emergency services. Due to this, the person does not have to explain his location in panic. This feature determines the location with the help of GPS, Wi-Fi signal and mobile network data, thereby providing fast and accurate information to the rescue team.
Sends location even when call is disconnected
The special thing about this service is that it is not limited to calls only. Android Emergency Location Service works during both phone calls and SMS. Even if for some reason the emergency call gets disconnected after being connected, this feature continues to send location data for some time, so that help can be provided in time.
How to activate in Android phone?
The good thing is that there is no need to download any separate app for this. This is a free service and is already present in most Android phones. Usually it remains active automatically, but still it is important to check once.
