Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested 53-year-old actor Hemant Nagindas Modi, who was absconding since he came out on parole in 2014.

According to media reports, Hemant Nagindas Modi is originally a resident of Naroda area of ​​Ahmedabad. In 2005, the court had sentenced him to life imprisonment in a murder case in Naroda. After this he was sent to Mehsana jail.

Didn’t reach jail even after completion of parole

The police statement has come out on this entire matter. In which DCP Ajit Rajian of Ahmedabad Crime Branch told that in 2014, Gujarat High Court had given parole for 30 days to Hemant Modi. But after the parole period ended, he did not surrender back to jail. Because of which, on July 25, 2014, he was officially declared a ‘parole jumper’. According to the police, despite being absconding, he remained continuously active in the entertainment industry.
