The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the 2024 action war film led by Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson, is set to arrive on Peacock next month. According to CBRthe film will be available for streaming starting May 18, 2026, on the platform.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film was originally released in the United States on April 19, 2024. The movie’s story is set during World War II and follows the creation of a small, highly skilled British unit assigned to operate beyond conventional battle zones. Working under the direction of Prime Minister Winston Churchill and involving figures such as Ian Fleming, the team is tasked with carrying out missions that traditional forces cannot undertake.

The group uses unconventional tactics to weaken enemy operations rather than relying on traditional military strategy. Their methods ultimately contribute to the development of the British SAS and influence modern black ops warfare.

The film’s cast includes Henry Cavill as Gustavus Henry March-Phillipps, Alan Ritchson as Anders Lassen, Alex Pettyfer as Geoffrey Appleyard, Eiza González as Marjorie Stewart, and Babs Olusanmokun as Richard Heron.

On Rotten Tomatoesthe film holds a critics’ score of 68 percent based on 169 reviews. Meanwhile, the audience rating has been much stronger at 91 percent on Popcornmeter. Empire Online reported, “So, it is far from perfect, careless not only with its history and its characters but its structure (at two hours, it feels sloppy). This is a perfectly undemanding watch. Just don’t watch it with a historian.”

Despite this, the film was a flop at the box office. It earned around $30 million worldwide against an estimated production budget of $60 million.
