Asha Tai, who left behind a vocal legacy of more than 12,000 songs, was not just a singer but a living inspiration. The entire Bollywood is saddened by the news of her demise and there is silence in the film industry. On social media, veteran Bollywood stars are getting emotional remembering Asha Bhosle one after the other.

Sanjay Dutt shared old pictures with Asha ji and wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of Asha ji’s demise. Her voice was not just music, but a confluence of emotion, memory and magic, which will always remain immortal. I had the privilege of singing songs with her and learning a lot from her. This is a huge loss for the Indian music world. May her soul rest in peace.”

The funeral will take place tomorrow
Asha Bhosle’s last rites will be performed with full state honors tomorrow, Monday, April 13, at 4 pm at Shivaji Park crematorium in Mumbai. The last darshan has been scheduled at his residence ‘Casa Grand’ in Lower Parel from 11 am to 3 pm.
