New Delhi: Akshay Kumar aka Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar recently shared exciting updates on his upcoming projects, including Hera Pheri 3 and a new collaboration with Ajay Devgn. Fans of the iconic Hera Pheri trio—Akshay, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty—are thrilled to hear that the long-awaited third instalment is finally moving forward.

At the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2024, Akshay revealed that Hera Pheri 3 will commence production next year. He jokingly remarked, “Producer ki hera pheri khatam ho jaye, phir hum shuru karenge,” clarifying it as a light-hearted comment. The actor is currently filming Welcome To The Jungle, but assured fans that the beloved comedy franchise is on track.

Is Hera Pheri 3 happening?

Adding to the anticipation, Sanjay Dutt confirmed in 2023 that he will join the original trio in the upcoming sequel. He described the project as a “great franchise” and expressed excitement about working with the team.

Suniel Shetty also announced the film on LinkedIn, highlighting the challenges of filmmaking but expressing relief that the project is finally happening. Despite earlier delays due to a conflict between producers Eros International and Firoz Nadiadwala, a Pinkvilla report confirmed the issue has been resolved.

Akshay and Ajay Devgn to reunite after Singham Again

In another exciting announcement, Ajay Devgn revealed he is directing a new film starring Akshay. Speaking at the same HT Summit, the Singham actor said, “We were planning to announce this later, but this is the perfect platform. I am directing a film with Akshay in the lead.” While details remain under wraps, fans are eager to see the duo reunite after their recent success with Singham Again.

Currently, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, is dominating the box office. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film features a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and Arjun Kapoor.
