Chhattisgarh:- The woman is suffering from the fourth stage of thyroid cancer, chemotherapy was done at AIIMS last November.

After treatment at AIIMS and Mekahara in Raipur for a year, treatment was also done at Tata Memorial Mumbai.

Samlu Markam, resident of Katabahra (Nagwahi), whose wife Kapura Markam is suffering from fourth stage of thyroid cancer and is unable to walk. Took him to the collectorate on the bike. Here, as soon as the matter came to his notice, Collector Mr. Gopal Verma immediately called an ambulance and got the victim admitted to the district hospital and directed the Chief Medical Officer for treatment. The woman will be admitted to Raipur for better treatment.

मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी ने बताया कि 11 नवंबर को ग्राम कांटाबहरा (नगवाही) के श्री समलु मरकाम द्वारा थायराइड कैंसर पीड़ित पत्नी श्रीमती कपूरा मरकाम को उपचार के लिए बाइक में लिटा कर उपचार के लिए ले जाने की सूचना संज्ञान में आने पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग की टीम 12 नवंबर को पीड़िता के घर पहुंची और उसे 108 एम्बुलेंस में बेहतर उपचार के लिए मेकाहारा रायपुर भेजा गया। यहां महिला को कैंसर रिसर्च युनिट में भर्ती कराया गया है जहां कैंसर विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की निगरानी में उनका इलाज हुआ। 

He further said that after receiving information about the health problem of the victim, when the team of Primary Health Center Regankhar/Community Health Center, Bodla Development Block, Bodla Health Department visited the residence of the victim Kapura Markam’s husband, Samlu Markam, in village Katabahra (Nagwahi), it was found that Mr. Samlu Markam had gone to the hospital after his wife Kapura Markam had pain in the throat. Swa. He was taken to Regankhar forest for treatment. The doctor posted there discussed the patient’s illness with officials of the District Health Department and referred him to Raipur for treatment. Where in the year 2024, treatment was done for one year in some private hospitals including AIIMS, Mekahara and DKS Hospital. After this, treatment continued for one month in January 2025 at Tata Memorial Mumbai. After treatment from there he was brought home. When the victim’s problems increased again, on November 12, the health department took her to specialist doctors in Raipur for treatment. Where she was admitted to Mekahara on 12 and 13 November and from 14 to 19 November 2025, she was admitted to AIIMS and given chemotherapy. After which the patient was brought back home on 20 November. After which she was recuperating by staying at home. After which the woman was again admitted to the district hospital today due to ill health. From here he will be admitted to Raipur.
