Qualified battery pack and performance

The biggest feature of the new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant is its big battery backup. This electric scooter uses two removable battery packs, each with a capacity of 2.2kWh. Both batteries together provide a total capacity of 4.4kWh. According to the company’s official claims, this new variant is capable of providing an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 187 kilometers on a single charge. This is about 41 km more than the 146 km range of the current 3.4kWh variant.

The company has not made any compromise in terms of performance. The new variant can reach a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.1 seconds. The scooter has three riding modes—Eco, Ride and Sport, along with which there is also a special ‘Boost’ function for overtaking. The 1kW portable charger available in it is being provided for the first time in the industry, which makes charging at home very easy. Additionally, with the help of more than 5,900 fast charging points spread across the country, it can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 65 minutes.

Impact on passengers and market situation

This launch is considered very important for daily commuters living in big metropolitan areas like Delhi-NCR. People, especially those living in high-rise buildings or societies, who used to face problems with fixed-battery charging, can now easily remove both of these removable batteries and charge them from any normal 5-ampere socket in their flat or office.

This electric scooter is equipped with modern features like 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Sales of electric two-wheelers in the Indian market have crossed 14 lakh units in the financial year 2026, where Hero Vida is firmly established at the fourth position. This new long-range variant will give direct competition to established vehicles like Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X in the market.
