Hezbollah drone targets Prime Minister Netanyahu's residence in northern Israel

The Israeli military said a drone passed near the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that no casualties were reported, while two others were interdicted. Warning sirens were activated in Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, after the incident. Although the Army later denied the drone strike, it further said investigation into the matter was ongoing.

Earlier, the Israeli military reported that a drone launched from Lebanon struck a building, although the nature of the building was not immediately made clear, Reuters reported.

The attack follows the death of Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind Hamas' October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, which sparked the Gaza war. Sinwar was killed in a shootout with Israeli forces on Wednesday after a year-long search, with his death officially confirmed on Thursday.
