Partnerships play a crucial role in determining the outcome of T20Is and Indian women have provided the world with thrilling, record-breaking partnerships that not only created but also changed the fate of the services. Whether it was aggressive or controlled batting, the Indian batters combined their skills perfectly and registered the highest partnerships that turned the matches.

Below is the list of batting pairs who scored the most runs for any wicket in T20Is.

  1. 130 runs by Thirush Kamini and Punam Raut vs BAN, 2013

The fifth place is held by Thirush Kamini and Punam Raut, who against Bangladesh in 2013 at Vadodara formed a remarkable 130‐run opening partnership, which was the record T20I partnership for India Women then.

Both Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma had together a powerful opening stand of 137 runs in the first T20I match against Australia at DY Patil Stadium in 2024.

After Titas Sadhu’s lovely four-wicket haul had kept Australia down to 141, the Indian openers made sure that the visitors would not be in the game. Both Mandhana and Shafali not only scored nicely but also took India to an easy win in the very first match of the series without any difficulty.

Mandhana and Shafali ended up with 80 and 79 runs respectively at an extraordinarily fast strike-rate of almost 170. Their partnership was the perfect display of talent, patience, and aggression, and took India’s score to a massive 221 after being invited to bat first.
