Highways, potholes and politics, BJP's bet backfired, JMM is gaining upper hand on social media

Ranchi: It is said that when times are bad, one should take every step cautiously because even a slight mistake can cause the wheel of politics to get stuck in a pothole. Yes, when the wheel of the car of Union Minister and Jharkhand BJP in-charge Shivraj Singh Chauhan got stuck in a pothole in the rain in Bahraich, politics started on it. BJP's Deepak Prakash played the first move.

Rajya Sabha MP and former BJP president Deepak Prakash wrote on social media that “This pit exposes the corruption hub of Hemant government.

On this, JMM started replying one after the other. And in response to Deepak Prakash's post, they said that it is a national highway. Not only this, they also challenged him not to delete the post.

The matter did not end here. JMM started posting one after the other. JMM even gave the details of the toll tax charged on the NHAI road on which Shivraj Singh's car was stuck. JMM alleges that a toll tax of Rs 370 is charged on a 65 km highway.

Not only this, JMM also presented a letter regarding Shivraj Singh's car getting stuck in a pothole on the national highway, the content of which is as follows.

sir,
This is in reference to the news regarding Hon'ble Minister's vehicle being stranded on Baharagora Service Road. This is on the junction of NH-33 and NH-6 (Ranchi-Jamshedpur-Baharagora-Chichira [झारखंड/प. बंगाल सीमा]) is situated between . In this context, it is submitted that there is a VUP at the junction of NH-33 and NH-6 on this road at Baharagora which handles heavy traffic from Odisha towards Kolkata using the service road at Baharagora. It has been raining heavily for the last two days and this road is being maintained with GSB material which gets washed away due to heavy traffic. Bids for reconstruction of service road with PQC pavement are invited in August 2024.

It is clear that BJP is putting its strength in Jharkhand but on social media it is proving to be a failure in comparison to JMM. Minister Mithilesh Thakur in Garhwa attacked BJP and took a jibe at the recent rains during PM Modi's visit and Rajnath Singh's helicopter running out of fuel and said that even God wants to make BJP leaders walk.
