Hillary Clinton accuses Donald Trump in Epstein files scandal
Former first lady of US Hillary Clinton has taken a public dig at US president Donald Trump amid the Epstein files release.
The US Department of Justice released a new batch of the files related to the crimes of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein was convicted for his crimes related to sexual abuse of minors and he passed away while serving sentence in 2019. His accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is still serving her sentence.
The newly released files mentioned many powerful men including Trump as well as former US President Bill Clinton.
Speaking to BBCHillary accused Trump administration for carrying out a “cover-up” in the management and justice process for the victims.
It is alleged that Epstein ran a human trafficking ring and many men he was linked to wre involved in his wrongdoings.
While participating at the World Forum at Berlin, Hillary said “Get the files out, they are slow-walking it.”
She added “We have called for the full release of these files repeatedly.”
On the other hand, Trump has denied committing any crime previously saying “I have nothing to hide. I’ve been exonerated. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.”
