Himachal Pradesh Snowfall: There is heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh these days. This snowfall is now becoming a disaster for the state. There are reports of four deaths and several injuries due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, approximately 223 roads of Himachal Pradesh are closed, due to which the speed of traffic has slowed down. People are stranded everywhere on the roads. Most of these are said to be tourists. Despite these challenges, crowds of tourists are increasing in Himachal.

The administration is making concrete arrangements

The administration in Himachal is gearing up to deal with the snowfall. Adequate arrangements have been made by them to deal with snowfall. Deputy Commissioner of Shimla district Anupam Kashyap said, 'The roads connecting to the capital are open. The roads leading to the upper areas of Shimla were opened yesterday, but people have been advised to avoid using these roads during morning and late evening hours as the roads are slippery.

He has also asked the local people and tourists to follow the traffic rules. He said, 'Police have been deployed to help tourists and local people. I request everyone to avoid unauthorized parking as it can lead to traffic disruption, which impacts the entire city. Please follow police advice on traffic.

Where are the roads closed?

145 roads are closed in Shimla. 25 roads are closed in Kullu and 20 in Mandi districts. Similarly, closure of roads due to snowfall has also been reported from some other areas. However, to deal with the snowfall, the Himachal government has deployed 268 machines including two snow blowers to clear the roads. With the help of these machines, every possible effort is being made to remove snow from the roads. Also, there are reports of transformer failure from many areas of Himachal, due to which many areas are immersed in darkness.
