Historic Vijay Diwas celebrated with pomp in Padrauna
Kushinagar. Under the auspices of All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council, Kushinagar, a grand and dignified celebration of Vijay Diwas was held on 16 December 2025 in the Jalkal Bhawan premises of Municipal Council Padrauna. This day was celebrated with full devotion and respect to commemorate India’s historic victory in the Indo-Pak war of 1971 and the surrender of 93,000 Pakistani soldiers. The program started in the form of a victory procession, starting from Jalkal Bhawan, passing through Kotwali Road, Tilak Chowk, Main Road, Vivah Bhawan Gali, Nauka Tola, Ramkola Road, Subhash Chowk and concluding again at Jalkal Bhawan. During the procession, the entire city was colored in patriotic colors with the slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Indian Army Zindabad” and “Vande Mataram”. As part of the programme, the national anthem and tributes to martyrs were also played. On this occasion, remembering the indomitable courage, bravery and valor of the Indian Army, the speakers threw light on the glory of the 1971 war in detail. The chief guest of the program was Brigadier P.N. Singh in his address said that the 1971 war is the golden chapter of Indian military history, in which the Indian Army decisively defeated Pakistan, showing its excellent leadership, strategic skills and bravery. He said that ex-servicemen are an invaluable heritage of the nation and the youth should take inspiration from them and move forward on the path of serving the country.
Municipality President Vinay Jaiswal, the special guest of the program, said that Vijay Diwas is not just a historical event, but it is a symbol of the sacrifice, sacrifice and national self-respect of the Indian Army. He expressed his gratitude towards the ex-servicemen and the families of the martyrs. At the end of the program, the brave ex-servicemen were honored by garlanding them and the brave women of the martyred soldiers were honored by presenting them with corsets. During this felicitation ceremony, the crowd present paid tribute to his contribution and sacrifice with thunderous applause. This moment was full of emotion and pride. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge for the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
