Hit by dense fog: Air India Express plane diverted to Delhi after 17 circles, many flights affected

Lucknow/Sarojini Nagar, Read: Due to dense fog, flight operations were affected on Friday. Airport sources said that the Air India Express plane (IX 2171), which reached Lucknow from Delhi at 6:30 am, could not land at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport due to fog. Due to low visibility, ATC did not allow this aircraft to land. Kept circling in the sky above the airport for a long time. The plane made 17 rounds in the sky here. After this he was diverted back to Delhi. The same plane later goes from Lucknow to Riyadh.

Due to this aircraft being diverted back to Delhi, Air India Express flight (IX 189) from Lucknow to Riyadh at 8 am was cancelled. Apart from this, Indigo flight (6E 5264) which reached Lucknow from Mumbai at 12:35 pm, reached Lucknow late by about 45 minutes. Whereas the Flynas flight (XY 333), which reached Lucknow from Riyadh at 9 am on Friday, reached Lucknow at 2:25 pm. Similarly, Star Air flight (S 5228) coming from Jharsuguda to Lucknow at 10:15 am reached Lucknow at 12:50 pm. Indigo flight (6E 453) arriving from Hyderabad at 1:55 pm to Lucknow reached at 4:50 pm. Indigo flight (6E 925) arriving from Patna to Lucknow at 4:10 pm reached Lucknow at 5:30 pm. Similarly, Flynn’s flight (XY 897) which took off from Lucknow to Dammam at 6:15 am could take off at 3:15 pm. IndiGo flight (6E 146) leaving from Lucknow to Guwahati at 7:55 am was delayed by about one and a half hour. Oman Air flight (WY 266) leaving for Muscat at 8:50 am departed at 9:35 am. Flynn’s flight (XY 334), which was scheduled to go from Lucknow to Riyadh at 10 am, could depart at 3:50 pm. Star Air flight (S 5223) from Lucknow to Kishangarh at 10:45 am could take off at 1:35 pm. Air India Express flight (IX 2049) leaving Lucknow at 11:05 pm for Bengaluru departed at 11:50 pm. Indigo flight (6E 758) leaving from Lucknow at 2:35 pm to Delhi left at 5:30 pm. Indigo flight (6E 435) leaving Lucknow at 4:50 pm for Bengaluru departed at 6:05 pm. Star Air flight (S 5229) from Lucknow to Jharsuguda at 5:25 pm departed at 8:15 pm. Indigo flight (6E 118) leaving from Lucknow at 9:20 pm to Pune departed at 10:30 pm. Air India Express flight (IX 124) leaving Lucknow at 9:25 pm for Ras Al Khema could take off at 11:30 pm.
