Aether Energy said it will hike the prices of scooters across all categories by up to ₹3,000 from January 1. The company also explained the reason behind the price hike.

Aether scooters are getting benefits of up to 20,000 under the December offer

Aether Energy said the increase in scooter prices was due to rising global prices of raw materials, foreign exchange and key electronic components. Aether Energy’s current product range includes the 450 series scooters and the Ritza. Its starting prices range from ₹1,14,546 to ₹1,82,946. The company said it is currently offering benefits of up to ₹20,000 on the purchase of Ether electric scooters under the ‘Electric December’ offer in select cities across the country.

Scheme to provide subsidy of up to ₹40,000 to those switching to electric two-wheelers

Meanwhile, there was a major update on Monday regarding Delhi’s new EV policy. According to sources, the Delhi government is expected to release the draft of the new EV policy by the first week of January. Delhi’s new EV policy is all set to bring a big relief to the middle class. The Delhi government plans to provide substantial subsidies on the purchase of electric two-wheelers (scooters and bikes) in the draft EV policy. Sources said that under Delhi’s new EV policy, a subsidy of Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 can be given for switching from a petrol two-wheeler to an electric two-wheeler.
