HMPV havoc continues, number of cases increases, Delhi hidden in fog, visibility zero
New Delhi: A total of 12 cases of human metapneumovirus (HMPV)-like corona virus have been reported in the country. 3 new cases were found on Thursday. HMPV is an RNA virus that typically causes cold-like symptoms. This may cause cough or wheezing in the throat. The risk of this virus is greater in cold weather. People had to face a lot of trouble due to dense fog in Delhi NCR on Friday morning. The entire Delhi was seen wrapped in a blanket of dense fog, due to which visibility was reduced significantly.
1. HMPV havoc continues
So far, 12 cases of HMPV, the new virus spread in China, have been reported in India. The first case is from Uttar Pradesh. A 60 year old woman has been found positive in Lucknow. The HMPV report of an 80 year old man in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and a 7 year old child in Himmatnagar have come positive. 3-3 cases have been reported in Maharashtra and Gujarat, 2-2 in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, one case each in West Bengal and UP. After the HMPV case came to light, states have also increased vigilance. The Health Department has advised the elderly and children to wear masks. Here in Gujarat, isolation wards are being made in hospitals.
2. Zero visibility in Delhi
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi. Today there will be fog throughout the day. The minimum temperature is likely to be 6 degrees and the maximum temperature is likely to be 20 degrees. Let us tell you that there is a possibility of rain and dense fog in Delhi on 11th and 12th January. There is a possibility of fog remaining till 15th January. The maximum temperature is likely to fall by 20 to 18 degrees in the coming days.

4. 2 FIRs registered in Tirupati stampede case
Two FIRs have been registered in connection with the stampede incident at Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh. Police gave this information on Thursday. At least six devotees died and 40 others were injured in a stampede at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Wednesday night. All the injured have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment. The stampede occurred when hundreds of devotees were trying to get tickets for Vaikuntha Dwar Darshanam.
