HMPV Virus test report of woman in Lucknow came negative, KGMU issued statement

Lucknow. Last Thursday, in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, a private hospital named Charak Hospital referred a 60-year-old woman to KGMU after declaring her positive with HMPV virus. There was a stir in the entire health department along with the government and administration after the first case of HMPV was found in Uttar Pradesh. The woman was admitted to Balrampur Hospital from KGMU, from where her samples were sent for re-examination. On Friday, KGMU PRO Dr. Sudhir Singh issued a statement saying that the woman's report has come negative. That means the woman is completely free from the disease.

Usha Sharma, a 60-year-old woman resident of Rajendranagar, Lucknow, was having difficulty in breathing along with fever and cough. The woman was shown to Charak Hospital in Lucknow, from where the private hospital declared the woman positive for HMPV and sent her to KGMU and from there the woman was referred to Balrampur Hospital. Balrampur Hospital did not accept the report of the private hospital and sent the woman's samples for re-examination. The new investigation report came on Friday, in which the woman's HMPV report has come negative.

KGMU's PRO Dr. Sudhir Singh said that two samples of the woman were received by KGMU Microbiology Lab. The first sample was positive, it was from the time he was previously admitted to a private hospital. Whereas, the second sample is from recent times. It is negative, meaning the woman is completely free from the disease. He told that the woman is old. He is on dialysis and his immunity is also low. Despite low immunity, the woman has completely recovered from this disease. This is a confirmation that there is no need to have any kind of fear regarding the disease.
