It is mentioned in religious texts that, apart from doing auspicious work during Holashtak, buying a new house or land is also considered inauspicious. Apart from this, avoid entering the house and also do not buy a new car during this period.

What to do in Holashtak?
- During Holashtak, donate food and clothes to the poor as per your capacity.
- Worship Lord Vishnu and Shiva.
- During this time ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya’ Chanting the mantra is considered very auspicious.
- Wearing white colored clothes is considered auspicious during Holashtak.
- Apart from this, one should donate white things and serve the mother.
- Because mother has been given the place of Moon in the horoscope.
