Holi 2026: Today we all enjoyed Holi to the fullest. It is a lot of fun while playing with colors, but when it comes to removing it, we all get worried. Various home remedies are used to remove color from face and hair, but if there is a stubborn stain on the floor of the house, then it becomes difficult to remove it, especially if the colors are strong or chemical. Today we will tell you easy and effective methods according to different types of floors.
Tiles / Marble Flooring
Method 1 – Baking Soda + Water
Make a paste by mixing baking soda with some water. Apply it on the stain and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rub gently with a soft brush and clean with water.
Method 2 – Vinegar
Mix half a cup of white vinegar in a cup of lukewarm water. Apply it on the stain with a cloth and clean it. Afterwards, mop with plain water.
Method 3 – Hydrogen Peroxide (on light colored floors)
Pour some peroxide on the stain and leave it for 5–10 minutes.
Wipe with a clean cloth. Be sure to test it in a corner on dark marble first.

Use mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not add too much water, otherwise the wood may swell. If the stain is deep, clean it immediately by applying a light paste of baking soda.

Add detergent powder + lukewarm water and rub with a brush.
If needed, a little bleach can be added (in a ventilated area).

1 – First test the cleaner in a corner.
2 – Do not use too strong chemicals (like acid).
3 – The sooner you clean the stains, the easier they will be removed.
