Hollywood’s fascination with Bollywood! Avatar directors want to visit the sets of ‘Varanasi’
S. S. Rajamouli’s new mega action-adventure film ‘Varanasi’ is currently the most awaited film among the audience. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, which has made the fans even more excited.
The first glimpse of the film was shown at a grand event ‘Globe Trotter’ held at Ramoji Film City recently. More than 50 thousand fans attended this event. The event was not only a huge fan event, but also touted as the biggest film reveal ever in India.
After the glimpses of the film came out, the excitement about the film has increased even more. Interestingly, world famous director James Cameron has also expressed his desire to visit the sets of ‘Varanasi’. He expressed this wish himself. S. shared with Rajamouli, this clearly shows the growing global interest in the film.
Recently, before the screening of Avatar: Fire and Ash, two legends of the film world, James Cameron and S. S. There was a video call between Rajamouli. During this conversation, James Cameron expressed his desire to come on the sets of ‘Varanasi’.

James Cameron said,
“It’s been a pleasure for us and thank you again. I think it’s important for filmmakers to communicate with each other, to understand how we think, how we work and what technologies we use. I want to come on your set. Can I have a chance to see your work in person sometime?”
On this S. S. Rajamouli replied,
“It will be a great honor for us, sir. You can come anytime. Not just me or my team, but the entire film industry will be happy with your visit.”
James Cameron then said,
“Couldn’t be better. You are currently shooting for this new film ‘Varanasi’, right?”
Rajamouli replied,
“Yes, sir. The shooting has been going on for almost a year and there are still about seven-eight months to go. We are currently in the middle of the shoot.”
Laughing at this, James Cameron said,
“So there’s still a lot of time. When you’re shooting a funny scene, be sure to let me know. Maybe… a tiger scene!”

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s powerful first look as Kumbha and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ impressive avatar as Mandakini in ‘Varanasi’ are already out. Both these looks have literally created a buzz on social media, further fueling the curiosity about the film across the country. Now the audience’s curiosity is at its peak as this grand and massively made film is slated to hit the theaters in 2027.
