Hombale Films celebrates double victory at 70th National Film Awards

Hombale Films has made headlines with its impressive achievements at the 70th National Film Awards, securing two prestigious awards for the film Kantara. This recognition was celebrated at a grand ceremony held in Delhi, where Rishab Shetty, who acted in and directed the film, took center stage.

Kantara has garnered global attention for the Kannada film industry, showcasing its rich storytelling and vibrant culture. Rishab Shetty’s dual responsibilities as lead actor and director played a significant part in the film’s success. At the awards ceremony, Kantara was honored with the titles of Best Entertaining Film and Best Actor for Rishab Shetty’s outstanding performance. Both the producer, Vijay Kiragandur, and Rishab Shetty received the awards from President Droupadi Murmu, marking a significant milestone for the film and its creators.

In a show of appreciation, Vijay Kiragandur expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rishab Shetty for his exceptional work in bringing Kantara to life.

Hombale Films also celebrated the success of another blockbuster, KGF Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel and featuring the popular actor Yash. This film also received two national awards at the same ceremony.

KGF Chapter 2produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner, has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. The film won the award for Best Kannada Film, and Anbarivu, the action director, was recognized with the National Award for Best Action Choreography. During the ceremony, Shailaja Vijay Kumar from Hombale Films and Anbarivu accepted the award from President Droupadi Murmu, further solidifying the film’s legacy.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur once again expressed gratitude, this time toward director Prashanth Neel, for his role in crafting such an acclaimed film.
