Honda City Facelift In A Detailed Walkaround Video

Honda will be launching the all-new City facelift in the market today. Although the launch was scheduled for today, images of the car have been circulating on the internet for the last couple of days. In the last two days, we have also started seeing videos of the new Honda City facelift. We have now come across a video where a vlogger gives a detailed walkaround of one of the most loved sedans in the segment.

The video has been shared by Bhaiyaji Gadi on his YouTube channel. The car seen here in the video looks like a demo car that has reached the dealership before the official launch. The vlogger starts with the key and then moves on to the exterior and interior features of the car.

The key fob of the Honda City facelift is the same as the outgoing model. It gets the same keyless entry fob with a remote start feature. There are request sensors on both front doors. The front of the sedan is where we see most of the changes. The car comes with heavily revised headlamps with projector bi-LED units. There are dotted LED DRLs with a connecting LED bar that runs across the width of the vehicle.

The front grille is said to be finished in dark chrome in the video, but we feel it is finished in a gloss or piano black shade with honeycomb patterns. The front of the sedan gets an aggressive yet premium-looking bumper with functional air curtains. There is no provision for fog lamps on this sedan. The clamshell bonnet and the Honda logo complete the front look.

Coming to the side, you notice the new set of alloy wheels finished in a gunmetal grey shade. It is actually a 16-inch wheel, which fills up the wheel well pretty well. The overall design of the sedan remains the same. As we move to the rear, we notice the smoked LED tail lamps with halogen turn indicators. The rear bumper is also revised, and we see gloss black elements on the lower part that look like a diffuser.

Moving inside, we see the dual-tone cabin with soft-touch materials on the door pads, dashboard and centre console. The steering wheel on the City sedan gets tilt and telescopic adjustments, and we also see controls for the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the semi-digital driver display.

The City sedan comes with the camera-based ADAS that Honda calls Honda Sensing. There is a 360-degree camera, lane watch monitor and it even gets dedicated switches for the same. There are physical buttons for the automatic climate control and seat ventilation. The sedan also gets ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, an electric sunroof, manual adjustments for the driver’s seat, rear AC vents, paddle shifters and so on.

The car comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed CVT. The engine generates 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The new City will also be offered with the 1.5-litre strong hybrid engine that comes with an eCVT gearbox.
