Honda Showcases Their Two Wheeler Future At EICMA 2024
Honda two wheelers has showcased some very cool all electric concepts at EICMA 2024, taking place in Milan, Italy. They have also showcased their new ICE engine and updated some of the models for the 2025 model year. Honda took the opportunity to showcase what lies ahead in the future of the company.
Honda has showcased two new future EV concepts, called the EV Fun concept and the EV urban concept. Alongside, they have also showcased the new CUV e which will enter production soon and be sold in the European markets. They have also updated some of the models in their lineup and shown a new V3 ICE engine.
Honda EV Fun Concept
The Honda EV Fun Concept is going to be the brands getaway into the sporty electric model space. Honda says that the performance will be equal to a middle-weight ICE motorcycle and they are looking to commercialize it by 2025. No other details have been revealed yet but Honda says that it will have an estimated cruising range of over 100 kms.
Honda EV Urban Concept
The Honda EV Urban Concept is an electric scooter which will reside on the more practical side of Honda design. It will carry the function over form motif and showcased Honda’s vision for urban mobility. Its a pretty cool design and this is what the maxi-scooters of the future could look like.
Honda CUV e
The Honda CUV e is more of a real production model which will is confirmed to enter mass production in the European markets. This is going to be the second all electric scooter from the Japanese brand, the first one being the EM1 e. It will have the interchangeable Honda Mobile Power Pack e and will have an estimated range of around 70 kms.
Honda V3 ICE Engine
With all the electric vehicles showcased, Honda is not leaving the ICE space behind and revealed their new V3 engine which is a 75-degree V3 engine which is going to be developed for larger capacity motorcycles and is going to a high performance version which will incorporate the worlds first electrical compressor for motorcycles. This will allow them to the compression in the intake and thus allow for more torque across the rev range.
Honda XL750 Transalp
Honda has unveiled a few refreshes in their lineup but we will focus on the XL750 Transalp which is the one model which is available in the Indian market. It has been refreshed for the 2025 model year and gets a completely new front fascia with new LED projectors. The fairing is also new and there is a new suspension system as well.
