Honda Two Wheeler Sales Growth: The month of April 2026 has been a great one for the leading two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). The company said in its latest sales report that its total sales during this period have reached 5.63 lakh units. Last year i.e. in April 2025, this figure was 4.80 lakh units, which shows a strong increase of 17 percent on an annual basis.
Increased customer confidence in the domestic market
The demand for Honda scooters and bikes is increasing rapidly in the Indian market. The company’s domestic sales in April 2026 stood at 4.84 lakh units, which was 4.22 lakh units in the same month last year. In terms of domestic sales, the company has registered a growth of 14.7 percent. Honda’s strong product portfolio and wide dealer network across the country are considered to be the main reasons for this success.
Big success achieved on export front also
Honda India is strengthening its hold not only in the country but also in foreign markets. The company’s exports in April 2026 stood at 0.796 lakh units, whereas in April last year it was only 0.579 lakh units. In this way the company has achieved an impressive growth of 37.4 percent in terms of exports.

Expressing happiness over the excellent performance, HMSI President and CEO, Tsutsumu Otani said that they are continuously working to strengthen customer confidence. He said that demand remains very strong in all segments of the two-wheeler market. The company is responding quickly to market changes and is completely focused on delivering sustainable growth.
