Honda ZR-V e:HEV Launched In India At Rs 47.99 Lakh
The Japanese automotive giant Honda Cars India has finally and officially launched the all-new ZR-V e:HEV in the Indian market. This flagship hybrid SUV has been launched with an introductory price of Rs 47.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The premium SUV will be imported from Japan as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Additionally, the company has also commenced customer deliveries across India. Honda has also revealed that the first two batches allocated for the Indian market have already been booked.

First off, let’s start with the exterior design of the newly launched Honda ZR-V. Honda has stated that the ZR-V has been developed around the concept of “Unleash Your Potential.” The SUV features a sporty yet premium design along with bold proportions and a strong road presence. The ZR-V features sleek LED headlights with L-shaped DRLs. It also gets a large grille with horizontal slats and a large air dam with a clean-looking mesh grille.

Moving to the side profile, it gets stylish 10-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear end, the SUV features a set of LED taillights, an integrated rear roof spoiler, rear wiper, washer and defogger setup. It also features a silver skid plate with real dual exhaust tips on both ends. Overall, the Honda ZR-V is not as flamboyant as its rivals, but it still feels very sophisticated and premium.

Inside the cabin, the Honda ZR-V gets an all-black theme, which, as per Honda, has been designed with a strong focus on comfort and quality. It comes equipped with leather upholstery, premium materials, and a driver-focused dashboard. Other highlights include dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, and a 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat.
Honda has equipped the ZR-V with a long list of premium features. It gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a wireless smartphone charger, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.

The SUV also focuses a lot on practicality. It offers multiple storage spaces inside the cabin, large cup holders, spacious door pockets, a dedicated smartphone tray, and a centre console box that can accommodate a tablet. Rear passengers also get a fold-down armrest, while the 60:40 split rear seats can be folded to offer up to 1,313 litres of luggage space. Honda has also provided under-floor storage, a retractable parcel cover, and a low-loading boot for added convenience.
The ZR-V also comes loaded with a number of convenience features. It gets a hands-free powered tailgate with kick gesture operation, walk-away close and lock function, an electronic parking brake, an idle stop system, an auto reverse-tilt passenger-side mirror, and regenerative braking paddle shifters that allow the driver to adjust battery regeneration.

On the safety front, Honda has equipped the ZR-V with its Honda SENSING advanced driver assistance system. The suite includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Road Departure Mitigation System. Along with this, the SUV also gets eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Descent Control, front and rear parking sensors, and Honda’s ACE body structure for improved occupant protection.

The main highlight of the Honda ZR-V is its powertrain. It comes equipped with the brand’s latest e:HEV Sports Hybrid system. It combines a 2.0-litre direct-injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with Honda’s advanced dual-motor hybrid setup and an e-CVT gearbox. It makes a total power of 184 PS and 315 Nm.
Honda claims that this SUV can offer a mileage of 22.8 kmpl and still perform a sprint from 0–100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds. The intelligent hybrid system automatically switches between Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive modes depending on driving conditions. This helps in offering a balance between performance and fuel efficiency in both city traffic and on highways.

The all-new Honda ZR-V e:HEV is being offered in four exterior colour options. These include Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl.
Honda is offering the SUV with a three-year unlimited-kilometre standard warranty along with three years of complimentary roadside assistance. Buyers can also opt for an extended warranty of up to seven years, while the Anytime Warranty programme offers coverage of up to 10 years or 1.2 lakh km. The lithium-ion battery is covered by an eight-year/1.6 lakh km warranty. Meanwhile, the hybrid system components get a five-year/1 lakh km warranty.
