Honebound: Karan Johar’s film Homebound out of the race for Oscar 2026

Honebound, (News), Mumbai: On the evening of January 22, the nomination list for Oscar 2026 was released by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Homebound from India was also in the race. However, this film could not cement its place in the nomination list and was out of the race to win the Oscar. Earlier this film was selected among the top-15 films in the International Feature Film category. Since then people had even higher expectations from this film. However, this film could not be nominated for Oscar.
Made under the banner of Karan Johar’s company Dharma Productions, Homebound stars Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. This film was highly appreciated by the people. Out of the 15 films that were selected in the International Feature Film category, five films have got place in the nominations. You can see the list of those films below.

When will the winner be announced?
The name of the winner will be announced by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on March 15. On that day it will be known which film will win the Best International Feature Film award. Apart from this, awards will be given in many other categories including Best Actor, Best Actress on that day.
