In the promo, Rhea Chakraborty expressed sympathy for Honey Singh saying she could deeply understand his condition. She mentioned that after watching Honey Singh’s recently released Netflix documentary, she was overwhelmed with both happiness and sadness.

In 2014, at the peak of his success, Honey Singh suddenly withdrew from the entertainment industry. Over the following years, he paused his music career and disappeared from social media causing anxiety among his fans. Years later, in an interview, Honey Singh revealed that he had been battling bipolar disorder.

Last year, Honey Singh shared more details about his mental health condition stating that it had worsened to the point where some doctors declared it incurable. In an interview about his mental struggles, he explained that bipolar disorder is a condition where the mind creates false perceptions with the firm belief that they are true. He shared that these beliefs become so real that one perceives them visually, leading to suspicious and psychotic thoughts that are completely detached from reality.

Honey Singh further revealed that during his struggle, he experienced 30,000 negative thoughts in just 30 seconds. This period lasted for six years during which he stayed confined at home for two and a half years and didn’t leave his room for a year and a half. He attributed his bipolar disorder to excessive use of drugs including hashish, marijuana and alcohol.

In 2024, Honey Singh made a triumphant return to music, announcing the release of his new album “Glory” in which he reflected on various aspects of his life. This year, he will kick off his “Millennium India Tour” performing in ten cities across India. The first concert will be held on February 22 in Mumbai and the final one will take place on April 5 in Kolkata.
