Hong Kong actress Ashley Chu explores Asia’s ‘most beautiful island’

Popular actress Ashley Chu and her friends went on a holiday to Phu Quoc, voted Asia’s most beautiful by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, in the first days of the New Year.
Chu praised the island’s beauty and quality of services.
On her Instagram account with over 174,000 followers, she said she and her friends were satisfied with the trip and recommended people to explore the island.
“This place exceeded my expectations; the island is very interesting,” she wrote.
She took a cable car to explore Thom Islet and entertainment services there, rode a boat to admire the sea, and watched fireworks, which is a daily event on the island.
Phu Quoc experienced a strong tourism year in 2025, receiving 8.1 million visitors, including 1.8 million foreigners.
The island expects to welcome 8.5 million tourists this year, a 5% increase from 2025, including 2 million foreign visitors, up 11% year-on-year.
Chu was born in 1986 in Hong Kong. She is known for movies such as “Bo duk keung yan” and “Love As a Predatory Affair (2016).”
Asian celebrities have been flocking to Phu Quoc in recent years, boosting its reputaion on global tourism map.
