Delhi: The Indian cricket team is ready to make its comeback in the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes Tournament to be held from 1 to 3 November 2024. The tournament, which started in 1992, was last held in 2017 and is now returning once again.

Cricket Hong Kong had posted on its 'X' account, “Team India is ready to rock the Hong Kong Sixes. Get ready for a barrage of power-hitting and sixes that will thrill the audience! Expect more teams, more sixes and maximum excitement.”

The 20th edition of the tournament will be played between 12 teams at Tin Kwang Road Recreation Ground. Apart from India, it also includes Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, Hong Kong, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Veteran players like Brian Lara, Wasim Akram, Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Anil Kumble have also played in this tournament. India won the tournament title in 2005, while England and South Africa are the most successful teams with five titles each.

Tournament Rules

In this, matches are played between two teams of six players, in which each team gets a maximum of five overs. In the final, eight balls are bowled in five overs. All players of the fielding team are required to bowl one over, and the batsmen are retired on 31 runs, but they may return to bat again after all the batsmen have been dismissed or retired.
