Former Srinagar Mayor Junaid Mattoo has made a social media post targeting Chief Minister Omar. In this post he wrote, 7 new Toyota Fortuners and a new personal Range Rover Defender for the Honorable Duke of Essex. The CM's convoy now lacks only one aircraft and one yacht at Dal Lake. The status of Jammu and Kashmir has reduced, but not that of Abdullah monarchy.

8 vehicles will be purchased for CM

Let us tell you that the National Conference government led by Omar Abdullah in Jammu and Kashmir is going to buy 8 vehicles worth Rs 3 crore. These vehicles will include 7 Fortuner and 1 Range Rover. It is being told that 4 out of 8 vehicles will be kept in Delhi. Whenever CM Omar is on a visit to the national capital, he will use these vehicles. Whereas, 2 vehicles will be kept in Srinagar and 2 vehicles in Jammu.

Government will give full importance to Jammu

Let us tell you that after becoming the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah has said that he will take full care of Jammu. This is the reason why he has decided to keep two new vehicles there to visit Jammu. It is known that earlier the Omar Abdullah government had said that it is going to bring back the more than 150 years old Darbar Move tradition. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself has informed about resuming the Darbar Move tradition. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, CM Omar said that Jammu has its own importance and we will not let its unique identity be destroyed.

This promise was made in the manifesto

Omar Abdullah said that I do not understand why other parties did not raise this issue during the assembly elections. We had included the issue of bringing back the Darbar Move in the manifesto of our party National Conference.

What is the Darbar Move tradition?

Under the Darbar Move tradition, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir remains in Srinagar in summer. After this, the capital is shifted to Jammu in winter. This is done to avoid cold and heat. Due to transfer of the capital, business happens at a very fast pace in both Srinagar and Jammu for 6-6 months. If media reports are to be believed, the Omar Abdullah government may soon take an official decision regarding shifting the capital. CM Abdullah's effort is to pacify the people of Kashmir as well as Jammu. Let us tell you that in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, the performance of Omar Abdullah's party National Conference in Jammu was not very good.
