Hormuz Attacks: Major attack on Qatari ship in Hormuz, 4 Indians safe amid Iranian attack

Iran Hormuz Attacks News: Once again huge tension has arisen in the Gulf of Oman. A Qatari LNG tanker has been the victim of a drone attack while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This huge merchant ship carrying natural gas was rapidly coming towards Gujarat, India. This horrific attack has raised many serious concerns regarding safe maritime trade in the Gulf region.

There were a total of 29 crew members on board the ship that was attacked, who are completely safe. It is a matter of great relief that 4 Indian citizens were also present on this ship as crew. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry has summoned Iran’s Deputy Ambassador and handed over a protest note regarding this drone attack. All crew members are safe and there has been no major loss of life or property in this attack.

The name of this LNG tanker is ‘AL REKAYYAT’ It is being told that it had started from Ras Lafan of Qatar. This information about the attack was immediately given to DGCOMM by RPSL. The ship has definitely suffered some damage due to the drone attack, but there has been no damage to the environment.

Three ships were attacked

A total of three merchant ships were attacked one after the other in Hormuz last day. One of the ships that fell victim to the drone attack in the Gulf of Oman was from Qatar. The second ship is said to be from Saudi Arabia which became the victim of attack amidst this huge tension. America has described these attacks on ships in the Gulf of Hormuz as completely unacceptable and condemnable.

Journey to Dahej Port of Gujarat

This huge ship was carrying LNG from Ras Laffan in Qatar towards Dahej port in Gujarat, India. During its important journey, it was trying to pass safely through the very sensitive area of ​​the Strait of Hormuz. Then suddenly this ship was targeted due to which questions were raised on the security of this international sea route. Despite this heavy attack, it was fortunate that the ship could safely proceed on its further voyage.
