‘Hormuz is not under Iran’s control’, rejecting Tehran’s claim of US license for free navigation
Iran has once again announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid renewed tension with America. However, Tehran’s claim was blown away and the United States said on Sunday, ‘The Strait of Hormuz is not under the control of Iran. And this important waterway is completely open for navigation. And US forces are fully prepared to maintain naval traffic.’
“The Strait of Hormuz, a legally international waterway for the transportation of fuel, is open to all,” the US Central Command said in a message to the X-Handle on Sunday. Anyone can travel through these waterways. Iran’s unwarranted aggression, harassment, threats and arbitrary declarations will not have much effect. US forces are ready to ensure that freedom of navigation is maintained. Iran does not control this channel. Traffic is completely normal here.’ The US military has dismissed Iran’s warning and said, “More than 140 ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz in the last seven days, and more than 800 ships carrying more than 400 million barrels of crude oil have passed through this sea route with the help of US forces in the last two months.”

The initial peace agreement signed between Iran and the US is currently in its 20s. The unrest has started again after the attack on the ship in Hormuz. In this situation, Tehran announced the closure of this system on Saturday. Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday that America has withdrawn from this agreement. He warned on social media, “The days of one-sided agreements are over. We said, keep your word or pay the price. The reality is here.” As soon as Iran signaled the closure of Hormuz, a counter message came from America.
America said, ‘The Strait of Hormuz is not under the control of Iran. And this important waterway is completely open for navigation. And US forces are fully prepared to maintain naval traffic.’
Note that on Saturday, Iran attacked a Cypriot-flagged ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Then there was no trace of the ship’s sailors. It is known that all the sailors were Indians. There were a total of 11 sailors. 10 of them have been rescued. The other one is still missing. New Delhi strongly condemned the attack. Meanwhile, after this attack, America has attacked 140 places in Iran. Several videos of which have been released by the US Central Command.
