Hormuz shipping billions of rupees ‘fee’ is taking Iran! India has to pay the price of ‘friendship’?

Iran is increasing the pressure on the adversary by keeping the Strait of Hormuz practically blocked in the atmosphere of war. But even in that they have allowed the ships of some ‘friend’ countries to sail. According to sources, Tehran is collecting a large sum of money as the ‘price of friendship’. It is heard that 2 million US dollars is going into Iran’s pocket for every ship movement. In Indian currency, this figure is around 19 crore rupees.

A London newspaper published the matter of Iran taking this money. The name of Aladdin Borojerdi, a member of Iran’s National Security Committee, is mentioned there. According to him, Iran has to pay 2 million dollars for each ship to cross the Strait of Hormuz. Because war has substantial costs. So the money should be taken from the ships sailing to Hormuz. According to Aladdin, this move shows how much control Iran has over the Strait of Hormuz. The media claims that the report was published based on an interview of Aladdin on Iran’s national television.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “India and Iran have historical relations. We have discussed with Tehran on that basis. But India has not given anything to Iran in exchange for permission to move ships.”

Note that the war between America and Israel has been going on since February 28. Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has made it clear that Tehran will increase pressure on the whole world by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. Due to this, the supply of oil and gas will be completely stopped in the whole world. However, despite such threats, Iran has given a separate permit to India. Several ships crossed Hormuz and reached India. The whole matter is considered by the international community as a great diplomatic success of India.

But is there a financial transaction behind it? External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “India and Iran have historical relations. We have discussed with Tehran on that basis. But India has not given anything to Iran in exchange for permission to move ships.” But after the comments of a member of the National Security Committee of Iran, the question is raised, then has India also completed financial transactions with Iran? Since there are various sanctions on Iran, as a result, the danger of Indian ships will not increase by paying this ‘fee’?
