Horrible accident in Mumbai! Uncontrollable bus crushed many people, death of 4 created panic

Mumbai: A heart-wrenching news has come out from Bhandup area of Mumbai on Monday night. Here, an uncontrolled bus hit many pedestrians on Station Road. So far 4 people have lost their lives in this horrific accident, while 9 people are said to be seriously injured. After the incident, there was an outcry in the area and a huge crowd gathered. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Mumbai Police has immediately taken the bus driver into custody.

A sudden scream in the silence of the night

According to information received from Mumbai Police, this accident happened at around 10:05 pm. A bus of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) was passing through Station Road when the accident occurred. According to eyewitnesses, the scene was so horrifying that no one even got a chance to recover. As soon as the information was received, teams of local police, ambulance, Mumbai Fire Department and BEST Fire Brigade reached the spot and rescue operations were started.

The bus went out of control while reversing

What is coming to light in the initial investigation of the accident is very shocking. It is being told that while reversing the bus, the driver lost control over it. The uncontrolled bus came backwards rapidly and brutally crushed the pedestrians passing by. Police are now investigating whether it was a technical fault or the driver’s negligence that led to such a major accident.

The condition of the injured is critical in the hospital.

Immediately after the accident, all the injured were admitted to nearby Rajawadi and MT Aggarwal hospitals. Doctors have so far confirmed the death of 4 people. The condition of many of the injured remains very critical, in view of which it is feared that the death toll may increase further. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and the victims’ families are being informed. At present, security arrangements have been tightened at the spot and detailed investigation of the matter is going on.
