Horrible incident: Father-in-law and daughters who beat son-in-law to death were sent to jail, accused uncle absconding.

Lucknow (Aashiana): A sensational incident that has torn relationships apart has come to light in the Ashiana area of the capital. Angered by a love marriage, a family brutally ruined their own daughter’s wedding. Taking immediate action in this case, the police arrested the accused father-in-law, mother-in-law and their four daughters and sent them to jail. There has been silence in the area since the incident and the police is now conducting raids in search of the absconding aunt and father-in-law.

Vishnu had come to his in-laws house with the innocent child and his wife.

The incident took place on the evening of 17 March. Vishnu Yadav, originally a resident of Pratapgarh, had come to his in-laws house (Sector-I, Ashiana) with his wife Sakshi Singh and one and a half year old innocent daughter. Little did he know that in the very house where he was going to spread happiness, a trap for his death had been laid. Father-in-law Teerthraj Singh, an advocate by profession, was angry with his daughter Sakshi’s love marriage for a long time.

He was hit on the head with the foot of a cot.

What was revealed during the police investigation is shocking. It is alleged that during the night the in-laws first held their own daughter Sakshi hostage in a room. After this the entire family together attacked Vishnu. Crossing the limits of cruelty, the accused hit Vishnu on the head with the heavy wooden legs of the cot until he died.

Seeing the police, the father-in-law created a drama over a minor quarrel.

When Ashiana police reached the spot on the information of the control room, the accused father-in-law Teerthraj Singh tried to stop the police at the gate itself. He tried to avoid the police by calling the matter a ‘minor dispute’ at home. However, the police became suspicious and when the team forcibly entered the house, the sight was horrifying. Vishnu’s body was lying soaked in blood in the porch. Police have also recovered two blood-stained wooden sticks used in the murder from the spot.

Whole family behind bars, search for uncle continues

According to Ashiana Inspector Chhatrapal Singh, a case has been registered on the complaint of the deceased’s father Chhedi Yadav. The police arrested the accused father-in-law Tirtharaj, mother-in-law and her four daughters – Radha, Ratna, Jyoti and Vidhi and sent them to jail on Thursday. Aunt and father-in-law Yagyanarayan Singh, who was involved in this murder, are currently absconding. Police teams are raiding possible hideouts and it is being claimed that he will be arrested soon.
