Horrific accident in Bhiwadi: Fire broke out in chemical-cracker factory, 8 workers burnt alive, skeletons were scattered here and there.

Bhiwadi, 16 February. A major accident took place in Rajasthan’s industrial area Bhiwadi (Khushukheda) on Monday morning. Here, 8 workers died tragically in a massive fire in a chemical and firecracker manufacturing factory. The fire was so horrific that the bodies were badly burnt into skeletons, which the rescue team collected in polythene. Minister Sanjay Sharma left for the spot straight from the Assembly. The accident happened at around 9.30 in the morning in the factory of a person named Rajendra located in Khushkheda Karauli Industrial Area. At the time of the incident, about 25 workers were working inside the factory. When smoke and flames were seen during police patrolling, the matter was detected and rescue operations were immediately started.

Body parts had to be collected in polythene

The rescue team that reached the spot found hair-raising scenes inside the factory. Due to the intensity of the fire, the body parts of the workers were disintegrated and many bodies were reduced to mere skeletons. The administration has packed these remains in polythene bags and sent them for post-mortem. According to administrative officials, along with chemicals, firecrackers were also being manufactured in this factory, due to which the fire took an explosive form.

Dozens of vehicles from Khuskheda and Bhiwadi RIICO fire stations brought the fire under control after about one and a half hour of effort. Seeing the seriousness of the accident, top officials of the administration including Bhiwadi ADM Sumitra Mishra, ASP Atul Sahu, and Khairthal ADM Shivpal Jat are present on the spot. FSL team has also been called to collect evidence so that the exact cause of the fire and the license of the factory can be investigated.
